Obituary - Funeral services for Charles Koestner, aged 39, formerly of Selden, who was drowned off Staten Island June 20 when he fell from a Navy boat, were held Monday with interment at the Selden Cemetery. His body was recovered Thursday. Mr. Koestner was enlisted in the Navy. He is survived by his wife, Vera; a three-year-old son, John, a sister, Mrs. Charles Shaber of Patchogue, a brother, Walter of Elmira, and his stepfather, Howard Alden of Selden.
