Patricia Anne Felkel Burress, 78, of 136 Poplar Lane, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at her home. Born in Buncombe County, Mrs. Burress was the daughter of the late Marion Robert and Ella Anderson Felkel. Mrs. Burress was a registered nurse for over 50 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Burress is survived by her husband, Jimmy R. Burress; two children, Roseanne (Rosie) Burress Clayton and husband Terry Lawrence Clayton, of Roxboro and Thomas Randall (Randy) Burress and wife Denise M. Burress, of Cherryville; one brother, Robert Milton Felkel and wife Margaret Ann Felkel, of Asheville; one sister-in-law, Linda Burress Ford, of Asheville; four grandchildren, Terry Kevin (T.K.) Clayton, Tyler James Clayton, Bethany Ann Burress and Benjamin Nathaniel (Ben) Burress.

A memorial service will be held 11AM Friday at Somerset Baptist Church by the Rev. Bob Baynard and the Rev. Herbert Brown.
