The remains of Mrs. Harvey Morris and her little daughter Arminta, who were brutally murdered at their ranch home near Roosevelt last Thursday morning, were conveyed to their last resting place Sunday afternoon and the funeral was one of the saddest and most pathetic which has ever taken place in Globe. Services were conducted by Rev. E.G. Decker at the undertaking parlors of F.L. Jones & Son and were largely attended, the rooms being crowded throughout the services. A large party in vehicles and on foot followed the bodies to the grave, many driving down from Roosevelt and the Salt river section to attend the funeral.

Laura and Arminta's bodies were found with their throats slashed and wounds to the head. William Baldwin claimed he saw two Mexicans leave the scene, but Baldwin was arrested for the murders.
