TORRINGTON — Charles Paul Lipinski, 84, of Torrington died Tuesday, May 5, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Agnes (Juhas) Lipinski.

He was born in Torrington, on March 23, 1925, the son of the late Peter and Kazmira Lipinski, and served in the U.S. Army in WWII.

He was retired from Torin Corp. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, The Polish National Alliance and Torrington Elks Lodge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two step daughters, Phyllis Magrane of Tucson, Ariz., Susan Pratt of Naples, Fla., and a step son, Kenneth Nardine and wife Susan of Torrington.

He is also survived by grandchildren Kenneth Nardine and wife Jessica of Winsted, Cheryl Burke and husband Tom of Mass. and Eric Magrane and wife Wendy of Ariz. and Travis Magrane of Ore. as well as great grandchildren Hannah and Caitlyn Burke and Nathan and Abigail Nardine. He was predeceased by brothers Theodore and Henry Lipinski and sister Ethel Albanese.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, at 10 a.m. from Phalen Funeral Home, 285 Migeon Ave., Torrington, to Sacred Heart Church 116 Grove St. for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
