"After an illness on one week Mrs. Frances Lawrence, wife of Frank Lawrence of the city, quietly passed away at 11:40 o'clock Sunday night. Deceased was forty-seven years, eleven months and eight days old, and was born and reared of her life in Biloxi. Mrs. Lawrence's father was J. M. Gomez of Cadiz, Spain, and her mother was Anne Gomez of Worcestershire, England. Besides her husband she leaves a large family of sons and daughters. The daughters, all of whom are married, are Mrs. Annie Dominique, Mrs. Cora Michel, Mrs. Corinne Mattini and Mrs. Pearly Nasto, while the sons are Frank Lawrence, Jr., Joe Lawrence and Edward Dewey Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of the Catholic church and and was dearly beloved by her family who keenly feel her removal from their midst. The funeral will be held from the residence at 233 Belman street at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. A number of relatives from out of the city will arrive in time for the funeral, among them Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thrasher and son of Cincinatti, Miss Parham of New Orleans, Mrs. George Therrpgood of Scranton and David Foote of New Orleans".
Mrs. Frances Lawrence died endocarditis.
