Nancy was born on a farm in Savannah, Missouri to Joseph and Bernadine Saunders.

She lived the early years of her life in and around the St. Joseph, but then due to her father's work began moving around. She lived in Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Louisiana and Florida before setting in the Sabine Pass/Port Arthur area.

Nancy and her late husband, Tom A. Farmer, owned and operated T & N Laboratories, Inc. for twenty years located at the Jefferson County Airport. She was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus, Catholic Community. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister, was on the Parish Council and a member of St. Rita Alter Society.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, her husband Tom A. Farmer, brother Ordway L. Saunders, and step-son Patrick K. Farmer.

Survivors include her three children; Stephanie Baque Helms, Martin L. Baque and Thomas K. Farmer; her step-children, Betty Kuykendall, Randy Farmer and Jeff Farmer; her grandchildren, Jillane, Melinda, Tanner and Blake Helms, Dorine, Breanna, Monica and Ellaina Baque, William "Pete" Farmer, Laucas Farmer, Jason Kuykendall and Justin Kuykendall; her brother, Ordell "Bob" Saunders, three sisters, Georgianna Lglesias, Mary Claassen and Bernadine McGrath. Her memory will also be cherished by her dearest friend of over 45 years, Charlotte Kile Rogers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Therese, the Little Flower Catholic Church in Port Acres with Father Rejimon E. George C.M.I. Celebrant under the direction of Broussard's in Nederland. Rite of Committal will follow in Memory Cemetery.
