OBITUARY: CLARA L. HOLM, 91, 326 10TH N., died Sunday morning at the Fort Dodge Villa Center, following a lengthy illness. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Allen E. Hermeier officiating. Burial will be in Newark Township Cemetery, Vincent. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home until noon Wednesday, when the casket will be taken to the church.
Survivors are sons; Tom Holm, Marshalltown; Frank Holm, Des Moines;
daughters, Marvel Enburg, Wheaton, Ill., Carol Nemeth, Mitchell, S.D.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Lund, Badger, and Thelma McDowell, Des Moines; brother, Thomas Sebber, Des Moines.
Clara Sebber was born in Newark Township and attended rural schools. She then attended Highland Park College, Des Moines, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught in rural schools in Webster County and Moorland Consolidated Schools. She married Fred Holm in 1920 in Vincent. They made their home on a farm near Thor. In 1952, they moved to Fort Dodge. He died in 1965. She became a resident of Fort Dodge Villa Care Center Feb. 27.
