Service was held for Dwain Thomas, 56, of Belen, N.M. on Feb. 21 at Steed-Todd Chapel. Ron Eggleton officiated. Burial followed at Texico Cemetery.
He died Feb. 17 in Belen. He was born Dec. 22, 1936 in Clovis. He was employed by the Santa Fe Railway as a carman. He was a member of Clovis Elks Lodge and the BRC of A 6846.
Surviving are his wife, JoAnn; a son, Michael, of Albuquerque; 3 daughters Janis Gast, Farwell; Cathy Mills and Brenda McGregor, both of Clovis; 4 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Shirley Maize, Clovis; JoAnn Coughenour, Cassville, Mo. and Wylondene Morgan, Alamogordo; and a brother Darryl Thomas, Clovis.
Casketbearers were Don Reid, John Bruce, Lee Underwood, Eddie Caroland, Paul Evans, and Jim Shobert.
Honorary bearers were Paul Jones, Perry Mason and Marvin Glidewell, Sr.
