Richard was born Feb. 25, 1915, in Anderson, the son of William and Frances (Braun) Ruberg, and was a lifelong resident. He attended St. Mary's grade school and graduated from Anderson High School in 1933. He was a longtime member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He served three years in the U.S. Army 200 Ordinance Depot Co. during World War II. He was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He retired from Delco Remy with 39 years of service. He volunteered at Rolling Hills Nursing Home for 10 years.

Survivors include his twin brother, Ronald Ruberg of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Monica Ruberg of Cincinnati, Ohio; two nieces, Marilyn (husband, John) Elsbernd and Rae Blewitt; great-nieces, Samantha and Adriene Blewitt; special cousin, Daryl (wife, Sue) Fry; and special friend, Stephanie Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred Krausbauer; and brother, Raymond Ruberg.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Father Edward Dhondt officiating. Cremation will take place with burial at a later date at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Millhousen, Ind., in the family burial plot.

Visitation will be one hour before service Saturday at the church.

Arrangements are being provided by Guilkey Funeral Home, Anderson.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
