Mrs. Braun died at 1:55 p.m., Saturday at Hershey hospital following an illness of two weeks. Her home was at 310 Busch Street.
She was born at Brighton, Iowa, on Oct. 17, 1873, the daughter of John and Katherine Crile Schlarbaum. She had made her home in Muscatine county for 50 years. Her marriage to Henry S. Braun occurred Dec. 9, 1896, at Nichols. Mrs. Braun was a member of the Lutheran church at Brighton, of the Eastern Star at Nichols and of the Royal Neighbors lodge of Muscatine.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Roy and Harry Braun, both of Nichols, and Archie Braun, Durant; one daughter, Mrs. Walter Knetsch, Muscatine; nine grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
