Walter B. Oesterling, 79, R.R.9, Box 328, Greensburg, died at 12:55 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 1991, in Bartholomew County Hospital.
Oesterling was born Aug. 16, 1911, the son of Anthony and Elizabeth Fehrman Oesterling in the house where he still resided. He married Leona Muckerheide on Nov. 25, 1948 in Henryville, Ind.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Curt (Janet) Pribble, Shelbyville, Ind., three sons, Dr. Robert Oesterling, Indianapolis, Dr. Joseph Oesterling, Rochester, Minn., and Mark Oesterling, Greensburg; three brothers, Frank, Clarence and Lawrence, all of Rushville, Ind., and two grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Donahue officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 8 p.m., at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.
A rosary will be prayed Monday at 6 p.m.
