She was born in Airlie to Henry and Surbrina Amelia (Haight) Tarter.
On Jan. 12, 1946, she married Lornce Everth Riker in Salem. He died Dec. 28, 1984.
She lived in Airlie, Fort Rock Valley, Bend, Independence, Kings Valley, Albany and Corvallis. She was a member of the Evangelical Church of North America. Mrs. Riker played the piano and spoke French fluently. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter Cleo Brooks of Corvallis, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Charles, H. Guy and Steve Tarter, and sister Elta Sams.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Old English Cemetery in Monmouth with Rev. Dave Haberly officiating. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
