Caleb was the son of John and Nancy Odle. He was the husband of Irena (Franklin) 2nd, and father of John Wesley Sr, Anthony R, James Harvey, Caleb William and Edmond Newton. He was married 1st to Hester (Brown) and father of Zepheniah B, Nathan Brown, Mary, Parthenia and Hester Ann "Hettie". Caleb served in the War of 1812 for which he was granted land in northwestern Indiana.
