Engfer, James R. age 63, of Rogers, passed away on May 16, 2006. Survived by his wife Ardell, of 43 years; children: Tammy, Randy, Connie, Vicky and Ricky; 4 grandchildren; Joshua & Tyler Jenson, Nathan & Melissa Trunk; 2 sisters; Joanne Bast and Erma Jean Wilke; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Olga and sister, Janet. Funeral Service Monday 11 AM at Word of Peace Lutheran Church, 21705-129th Ave N., Rogers, MN. Visitation Sunday 4-8 PM at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St. Elk River (763-441-1212) and one hour prior to service at church. Internment Mount Calvary Cemetery, Miltona, MN

James Robert Engfer was born on March 4, 1943 to Herbert and Olga Engfer of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota.
He was united in marriage to Ardell Hoppe on January 26, 1963 in Miltona, Minnesota.
Together they raised five children, Tammy, Randy, Connie, Vicky and Ricky. They made their home in Rogers, Minnesota for the past 40 years.
Jim was employed by Grumman and Ryerson Steel and as a truck drive for over 20 years. He received various safe driving awards with his company.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ardell. Daughters: Tammy (Rick) Jenson of Zimmerman, Minnesota, Connie (Tom) Trunk of Princeton, Minnesota, Vicky Engfer of Monticello, Minnesota. Sons: Randy Engfer and Ricky Engfer both of Rogers, Minnesota. Grandchildren, Joshua and Tyler Jenson, Nathan and Melissa Trunk. Sisters Joanne Bast of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota and Erma Jean Wilke of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Olga Engfer and a sister Janet Engfer.
Jim fought with various complications due to his cancer diagnosis for the last four years. He lost his life on Tuesday, may 16, 2006 to the return of this terrible disease.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
