Cpl Robert A. Zielinski was the Radio Operator on a B-29 assigned to the 504th Bomb Group that crashed on landing at North Field on Tinian, Northern Mariana Islands during WWII. They were training in preparation for bombing runs on Japan that started in late February 1945. Paul and 7 of the 13 crew members were killed when the plane crashed and burned.
