A funeral service for Kermit O. Bierbaum, a retired superintendent of the Mehlville School District, was held Friday at the Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold. Burial was in Lakewood Park Cemetery in Affton. Mr. Bierbaum, of Lemay, died of cancer Tuesday at St Anthony's Medical Center in south St Louis County. He was 77. Surviving are his wife, Margaret V Bierbaum of Lemay; two daughters, Bes Grove of Sioux City, IA, and Erma Klepzig of St Charles; two sisters, Lillian Bierbaum of Denver, and Edith Hitler of Richland, WA; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
