Arthur S. Kimmerle, 85, entered into rest on Tuesday (July 6, 2004). He was the loving husband of Doris (Woolley) Kimmerle for 63 years. Born May 17, 1919 in Newark, NJ, the son of the late Gustav and Katherine (Jaekel) Kimmerle.

Arthur served in the United States Army during World War II for the Field Artillery Battalion in Italy, France and Germany. He was employed for many years in the family business, owning and operating paint and wallpaper stores which were originally G. L. Kimmerle and later became Kimmerle Bros. He lived in Short Hills, NJ for 34 years, Succasunna, NJ for 18 years and then in 2001 moved to New Hartford. He was a life long summer resident of Lake Hopatcong, NJ. Arthur was a very loving father and will be missed.

In addition to his wife, Doris, he is survived by two sons, Ken Kimmerle and his wife Allison of New Hartford, and Robert Kimmerle and his wife Viviana Rangil of Saratoga Springs, NY; a daughter, Carrol Gibbons of Fallbrook, CA; and three grandchildren, Sam and Ben Kimmerle of New Hartford and Clara Kimmerle of Saratoga Springs, NY. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Herbert Kimmerle.

Funeral services will be held TODAY, July 10, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Pine Meadow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Salin Low officiating. Burial services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford has care of the arrangements.
