Mary Bye, 92, resident of Cashmere for the past 56 years, died at a Wenatchee nursing home Wednesday afternoon.
She was born on Oct. 23, 1882, in Otway, Ohio, was raised there and came, to Cashmere in 1918. She was married here to Anton Bye on Jan. 31, 1918.
They operated a fruit ranch for many years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1971.
Mrs. Bye was a member of the non-denominational church.
Several nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning in the Braun Funeral Chapel with Niels Jorgensen officiating. John Pat Neff sang "When Life is Ended" with Scott Neff on the organ. Burial took place in the Cashmere Cemetery with the following pallbearers, Terry Kirk, John Neff, Henry Schroeder, Harry Butcher, Frank Hamon and Fred Barnes. The Braun Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
