Mr. Brune was born March 29, 1917, at Carroll, Iowa, to Henry and Julia Brune. He spent his childhood in Iowa and came to Bemidji in 1930. He married Florine Moody Sept. 25, 1940, at Bemidji. He entered military service in February 1944 and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Air Corps at San Antonio, Texas, where he was a pilot.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mary (Mrs. William) Corrigan and Kristine Small if Bemidji and Judy (Mrs. Ray) Ferry of Manvel, N.D.: four sons, Michael of Grand Forks, N.D., Richard and Thomas of Bemidji, and Jon of St. Paul; eight grandchildren; his mother of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Marion (Mrs. Joseph) Peterson, of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Harry and Paul of Bemidji; and several nieces and nephews.
