BUHL - Myrna Dene Yingst, 71, formerly of Buhl, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Mountain View Care Center in Kimberly, Idaho.
Myrna was born December 5, 1934, the second of three children born to Claude E. and Myrtle A. (Crisp) Brewer in Buhl, Idaho. She graduated from Castleford High School in 1952. She received a scholarship in shorthand to the Fullerton Junior College in California. While in California she worked for Knott's Berry Farm.
Clarence and Myrna Brewer were married July 13, 1954. They had two daughters, Tammy and Terri. In April 1969, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where Myrna became head of administration for Providence Hospital. In 1987 Myrna and Clarence retired back to Buhl.
She loved her family and her four grandchildren dearly and was a very kind and gentle person throughout, who always was seen with a smile.
Surviving Myrna is her mother, Myrtle Brewer of Buhl; daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Head and grandson, David and Kyle, all of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Terri (Kevin) Shinn and granddaughters, Heather and Nicole, all of Snohomish, Washington; her sister, Frieda Walden, of Buhl; brother, Randall Brewer, of Kimberly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Myrna in death is her husband of 50 years, Clarence, in 2005, and her father, Claude Brewer.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006 at the Buhl First Christian Church at the corner of Broadway and Poplar in Buhl with Pastor Bear Morton officiating.
