She married Matthew Paschal Hood in about 1884 in Alabama and he passed away in 1901 in Jones Co., TX.
She later married J Frank Reed on Nov 10, 1910 in Jones Co., TX

Long-Time Monday Resident's Burial
Rites Set Today
MUNDAY, Nov. 26—Last rites
for Mrs. R. V. (Granny) Reed,
resident of Munday since 1912, will
be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday
at the Primitive Baptist Church
at Red Top, five miles northwest
of here. Mrs. Reed died Sunday
at 5:30 a.m. at the home of a
daughter, Mrs. J. T. Brown, at
Vera.
Officiating will be the Rev. L.
M. Handley of Lubbock, assisted
by the Rev. C. P. Cole, pastor of
the Vera church.
Burial is to be in Johnson Memorial
Cemetery at Munday under
direction of Mahan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reed, 84, was born in Alabama.
She was married in October,
1910. to J. F. Reed, who died
several years ago.
Survivors include nine children
J. T. Hood of Leesburg, Fla., Mrs
Brown of Vera, Mrs. W. 0. Smith
of Plainview. Roscoe Hood of
Stamford, Horace Hood of Abilene
P. W. Hood of Jasper, Tex., W. P

three sisters. Mrs. Lunar

38 grandchildren. 65 great-grandchildren
and two great great grandchildren
