PERDA STAACK GLENWOOD PIONEER DIES
Edward Perda Staack lived a full and complete life in Klickitat County. He was born on a Homestead at Panakanic to Claus and Martha Murray Staack on June 30, 1893. He was the second of four children. His early and formative years were spent on the family farm at Laurel on Camas Prairie.
On June 26, 1918, in Goldendale, he married Alma Borde. This marriage was blessed with two children; a son Delmer Edward and a daughter Lois. This closely knit family made the Glenwood area their home and at the heart of the family was Perda.
He was an outdoors man finding both his livelihood and pleasures on the range, in the woods and the fields and hills.
Perda leaves us a legacy of memories of a pleasant personality, faithful friend and first and foremost a family man.
His death on Nov. 24, 1959 ends a useful and happy life. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his widow: Alma Clara Staack, Glenwood, a son Delmer, at Glenwood, a daughter, Lois, Washougal, a brother Frank of The Dalles, and sister Murriel West of Lyle and 8 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a brother James.
