HARLAN - Shirley Ann Lefeber was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Earling, to Charles B. and Julia Dressen Miller. She spent her early years in Earling, attending and graduating from St. Joseph's High School in 1951.
June 21, 1955, she married Ernest John Lefeber. To this union was born three sons, Dennis, Ronald and Keith.
She worked for Variety Distributors in Harlan for 27 years retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Harlan and a member of Catholic Daughters of America.
She died July 1, 1999, at the University Medical Center at Omaha at age 66.
Shirley was preceded by her parents and her brother, Tony Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest John Lefeber of Harlan; sons, Dennis of Omaha; Ronald (Luann) of Harlan and Keith (Kelly) of Harlan; five grandchildren, Emily, Charles Anthony, Kayla and Cassy; two sisters, Eunice Assmann of Panama and Katie Erlbacher of Denison; and other relatives.
Funeral services were held July 3, 1999, at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Howard Fitzgerald officiating. lnurnment was in the Harlan Cemetery. Beem-Belford Funeral Home, Co. Bluffs, in charge of arrangements.
