Eula Burton, 89, of Ceres died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Mrs. Burton was a native of Sneedville, Tenn. She lived in Ceres 35 years. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was affiliated with the Northridge Assembly of God Church. She was also a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by her children, James Burton, Dee Burton and Edna Edwards, all of Ceres, Victor Burton of Modesto, Bernice Steel of Gainsville, Mo., and Elizabeth Box of Clarksville, Ark.; brothers, Floyd Drinnon of Hammon, Okla., and T.C. Drinnon of Pampa, Texas; sisters, Willie Jones of Altus, Okla., Della Johnson of Dixon, Minnie Hilman of Burns, Ore., Virginia Creach of Oklahoma City, Juanita Dixon of Elk City, Okla., and Laura Alice of Braman, Okla.; and 32 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
