Born in German Twp.

Married in 1879 to Louise Burmeister. They had 9 children, 3 of whom preceded their father in death.

Christ Wissman was a carpenter and was employed at the Rabe Mfg. Co. as a benchworker. He had just arrived at his workbench and seated himself on a nearby chest, waiting for the whistle's signal to begin work. No more than 3 minutes had elapsed when he was found by a fellow laborer in a lying position and was found to be deceased, having died suddenly of heart trouble.

Mr. Wissman was a member of the Cataract Fire Co. for many years.

He was survived by 4 daughters, 2 sons, 4 grandchildren and 3 brothers.

Funeral services in St. Paul Church, Rev. Henninger officiating.
