The father of Christine's son, Peter (this Memorial), according to some LDS church records, is James Christian Nielsen, who died in Denmark. It is told in the family that Peter Petersen (b. 1831) adopted him when he married his mother. Peter (b. 1883) did take on the surname Petersen but as to whether he was legally adopted, I don't know.
