Norma was born on in Blevins, Texas to the late Edward Frank Hinze and Martha Mary Krause Hinze. She attended schools at Blevins. On Oct. 06, 1945, she married the love of her life, James Earl Herrington, in Marlin, Texas. Norma was a long-time member of the Cego Baptist Church, and more recently, the First Baptist Church of Chilton. She loved helping work the cattle, gardening, going to "garage sales", and could outplay just about anyone in "42". Most of all, she dearly loved her son, Edward, and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On her 90th birthday party, at Westview Manor, she was seen dancing her "pretty gold shoes off". She was always the life of the party and had many, many friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, James Earl; a sister, Olga Kunze; and brothers, Paul, Louis, and Earnest Hinze.
She is survived by her son, Edward Herrington and wife, Judy, of Cego; granddaughter, Melanie Sorenson, and grandson, Clayton Herrington and wife, Heather, all of Cego; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Andrew and Danielle Sorenson and Sabrina and Bethany Herrington; sister, Ernestine Barganier and husband, Grady, of Temple; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
