Charles C. Adams Was a Union Sailor During Civil War
Charles C. Adams, aged 76, a retired Pennsylvania engineer and a veteran of the Civil War, died at 5:20 o'clock this morning at the Methodist Hospital of a complication of diseases. He had been at the hospital for the last three weeks.
Mr. Adams served in the Union Navy as a sailor during the Civil War and had been an employee of the Pennsylvania Company for many years. He was retired from the service of that company eight years ago on a pension. During recent years he had made his home with a son at 1116 Anthony Boulevard. He was a member of the Masonic order.
Surviving are one son, Walter Adams; one grandson, Earl; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Jamison. Mr. Adams was born in Germany and had made his home in Fort Wayne the greater part of his life.
