Kate was the fifth of eleven children born to John William and Anna Catharine (Reinhardt). She married Adam Pauley in 1936 and they were the parents of four children: Richard William, Joan Marie, Robert Leroy and Linda L.
Katherine Pauley was born April 13, 1915, in Kilmanagh, MI, to John William and Anna Katherine (Reinhardt) Reinhardt. She married Adam Pauley on November 28, 1936, in Belle Fourche. She was married to Adam for 55 years. Adam and Katherine farmed in the Vale area for many years preceding Adam's death in 1991.
Katherine, 85, Lake Havasu City, AZ, died August 6, 2000, at her home in Arizona.
Katherine is survived by her children, Richard Pauley, Phoenix, AZ, Joan Trankle, Sioux Falls, SD, Robert Pauley, Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Linda Stoll, Bradshaw, NE; four sisters, Mary Herman, Betty Schmid, and Dorothy Reitz all of South Dakota and Freida Mailloux, Montana; one brother, John Reinhardt; eight grandchidlren, Barbara Lance, Stephanie Burroughs, Troy Trankle, Teri, Teka, Adam and Aaron Pauley, Katie Stoll; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the Parkinson's Foundation.
