Lillian A. Hauge Paintner was born August 14, 1910 at Glenfield, Foster County, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Helge Hauge and Sophie Tostenson. She married Robert F. Paintner on January 21, 1928 at Wolf Point, Roosevelt County, Montana. Lillian and Robert moved to Anaconda, Montana after their marriage. In 1930, they moved to Fargo, North Dakota. In 1933, they moved to Revere, Griggs County, North Dakota where they purchased their farm. Robert and Lillian were the parents of two children, Marlene and Eugene Paintner. Lillian is buried in the Saint Georges Catholic Cemetery, Cooperstown, Griggs County, North Dakota, alongside her husband Robert Paintner.
