A native and lifelong resident of Savannah, Mr. Beckmann was a retired professional golfer having been employed at Mary Calder Golf Course for 20 years.
Previously, he was an electrician with Rollinson Engineering Company. He was a communicant and lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America.
SURVIVORS: daughters, Ann Anderson of Savannah, Maria Woodcock of Savannah, Jean Tuten of Estill, SC, and Martina Hammond of Homestead, FL; sister, Jean Williams of Savannah; brothers, Leo G. Beckmann of Savannah, Fred G.Beckmann, Jr. of Homestead, FL, and John H. Beckmann of Atlantic Beach, FL; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, at Hillcrest Abbey West.
