Father, Christian (Low) Loew, Sr., born in Bruken, Donaw, Wuerttenburg, Germany, May 1794, immigrated to Clarington, OH, in 1833. This Christian died 8 Oct. 1888, buried in Switzerland Township, Clarington, Monroe Co, OH. He married Dorothea M. Beisser, who was born 9 Jan 1795, Germany, d. 12 Apr 1874, Clarington, OH, buried with husband. They had ten children, five died in Germany, and five lived to maturity: John, Christian, Adam, Frederick and Sophia.
