Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Runge chapel for Gustav Schreiber, 67, life resident of Walcott, who died Monday of a bullet wound in the left temple. Burial will be in Walcott cemetery.
Scott County Deputy Corner Hugo Lemm pronounced the shooting a suicide. The body was found in the bedroom of the victim's home by his sister, Mrs. Dora Paarmann, Walcott. No inquest will be held. Relatives said he had been despondent over ill health.
Mr. Schreiber was born March 15, 1887, in Walcott. He attended Duncan's Business college, Davenport. In recent years, he had operated a radio and television repair shop.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Paarmann, Miss Bertha Schreiber, and Mrs. Clarence Rice, all of Walcott, and Mrs. Irma Holtz, Toronto, Ia.
