Funeral services for Gerhardt Henry Steege, 96, West Plains, Mo., will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Cloud 9 Ranch Chapel.
Mr. Steege died 11:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at his home. He was born Jan. 25, 1911, in Westgate, Iowa. He graduated from the E. Waterloo High School with the class of 1929, and on March 5, 1940, he was married to Mildred Hochberger, who preceded him in death in 1973.
Mr. Steege was a Lutheran and had attended Cloud 9 Chapel.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathie Renken, husband, Dennis, Tecumseh, Mo.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Sarah Steege; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents; wife; one son, Lynn Steege; one grandson, Marty Renken; one brother; and two sisters preceded him in death.
