At the time of his death at the home of his daughter, Charles was 80 years, 9 months and 9 days old. He was survived by his daughter; 2 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Pauline Sparrow and Bertha Ortleb.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on the afternoon of 05 Nov 1948 at Imming Funeral Home in Brussels. Charles was buried next to his wife, Anna Sarah, who passed away in 1935.
