Ralph W. Zimdars 70, of Effingham, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 1996, at St. Mary's Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Ralph was born April 11, 1926, the son of Rhinehart and Lula (Schwartz) Zimdars. He married Darlene VanDyke on August 18, 1956.

He was employed in the General Service Department of World Color Press in Effingham; was a member of First Christian Church, Effingham.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Linda (Alan) Niebrugge and Lisa (Roger) Friese, both of Effingham; brothers, Raymond of Cleveland, Ohio and Ervin of Mason; four grandchildren.

He was preceded in Death by his parents and son Dennis, who died on July 29, 1981.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at first Christian Church, Effingham. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery, rural Louisville. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, and one hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Effingham or to Old Union Cemetery, rural Louisville.
