Kathryn F. Holmes, 74, of Woody Drive, a retired secretary, died of cancer Sunday at home.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home with burial in Brady Cemetery in Prentiss. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Holmes was a native of Prentiss who had lived in Jackson for 50 years. She retired from the Mississippi Cooperative Extension Service. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was the widow of H. L. Holmes.
Survivors include: daughters, Barbara Hayat of Mobile, Beverly Woolard of Jackson, Carolyn Hausgen of Avon, Ind., and Mary [sic, s/b Marilyn] Ward of Seabrook, Texas; son, Jimmy Holmes of Richland, John Holmes of Byram and Dennis Holmes of Austin, Texas; brother, Nolan Fortenberry of Pinola; and 11 grandchildren.
