WESTON - Kandyse C. Maly, 20, of Weston, died Dec. 12, 2006 in a single vehicle accident Monday morning in western Douglas County.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1986 to Kevin and Tina Maly in Omaha. She attended Wahoo elementary school and graduated from Wahoo High School in 2004. She was taking classes at Metro Community College. She had been working for Werner Trucking near Omaha. She had previously worked at Scheels in Omaha and earlier at Bomgaars and Burger King in Wahoo.
While attending school, she was a member of the Wahoo High School Dance Team, the Yearbook Staff, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, Fam-ily Consumer Career Leaders of America and a member of the softball team.
She is preceded in death by an aunt, Ann Maly.
She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Tina Maly, brother, Jacob, sister, Eryn, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandparents, Roger and Christy Prichard of Omaha and Ray and Rosemary Maly of Wahoo; the love of her life, Chris Vasa of Weston, and the Vasa family; uncles and aunts, Troy, Terry and Nancy and Tim Prichard, Gaylen, Chris and Mike Maly, Mona and Renick Martin.
Funeral service was held Dec. 16 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Weston with Revs. Thomas Brouilette and Charles Townsend officiating. Interment was at Znojemsky Cemetery at Weston.
Pallbearers were Chris Vasa, Paul Vasa, Ben Vasa, T.W. Vasa, Adam Janecek and Clint Vandenberg.
