Born May 13, 1926, in Morton to Carl L. and Hilda H. Menold Kieser, he married Iris Nolan in 1953 in Pekin. He later married Barbara Gillett in 1968 in East Peoria.
Surviving are three sons, Robert of Pekin, Timothy (and Sandra) of Topeka and Jonathan (and Michelle) of Denver; one daughter, Mrs. David (Nancy) Kemp of Pekin; five brothers, John of Chillicothe, Louis of Eureka, Richard of Peoria, Alfred of Tremont and Albert of New Port Richey, Fla.; three sisters, Gertrude Kieser and Anna Kieser, both of Peoria, and Alice Snodgrass of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Jean in 1961, one stepdaughter, one brother, two sisters and one granddaughter.
He was a millwright with Laborers Local 231 until retiring in 1986 from Corn Products in Pekin.
He was a member of New Castle Bible Church in Mackinaw.
He was a volunteer musician with the Salvation Army and a lifelong musician at labor rallies.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ludwig Mortuary in Morton. The Rev. Philip Somers will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Burial will be in Hirstein Cemetery in Morton.
