Mildred Louise Goerner passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in Bastrop, Texas at the age of 99 years. She was born on July 29, 1916, in McLennan County, Texas to Carley and Clemmie Hale.
Mildred grew up in Mart, Texas. She married Wiley Goerner and they started their life together in Mart. They lived many years in Houston before moving to the Bastrop area to spend their retirement years.
Mildred was a beloved wife and aunt. She enjoyed her pets, playing 42 (dominoes) with family and friends, watching and listening to Texas Longhorns sports, and having an occasional Heineken over ice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Stephen Goerner on October 16, 1994, and by several brothers and sisters-in-law. Mildred is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
