Obituary - Rudolph Paul "Rudy" Kuhn, 68, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 1991 at his home.
He was born December 1, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Rudolph Phillip and Julia Niklas Kuhn. He married Joye Hale February 28, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was reared and educated in Salt Lake City and had lived in Seattle, Washington for three and a half years, Granada Hills, California for 28 1/2 years, and in Farmington for the past 10 years.He graduated from South High School, attended the University of Washington architectural school and graduated from the University of Utah. He did post graduate work at California State University in Northridge. He worked as an architect and did recreational planning for the Army Corp of Engineers.
He was an active member of the Farmington 21st LDS Ward. He had served as bishop, high councilman, athletic coach, teacher of Seminary and youth leader. He had also served a mission in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife as Public Communications Missionaries. He was a life member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers.
He had coached many youth athletic teams. He was a veteran of World War II in the US Navy and also attained rank of Captain through ROTC and National Guard, in the US Air Force.
Surviving are his wife of Farmington; four sons and two daughters, Rudolph Phillip and Ginger Kuhn, Santa Clara, Calif.; Rorey H. and Cheryal Kuhn, Granada Hills, Calif.; Corey H. Kuhn, Provo; Karl Paul and Patricia Kuhn, Bountiful; Kristina K. and Paul Christensen, Caldwell, Idaho; Tamara Lynne K. Lungren, Farmington; 25 grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, George P. Kuhn, William E. Kuhn, both of Salt Lake City; Florence K. Andersen, San Jose, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, a brother and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 1991 at 11 a.m. at the Farmington North LDS Stake Center, 729 W. Shepard Lane, Farmington. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and at the Stake Center on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
