Funeral services for Athleen Childs Kimbrell, 86, Oxford, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Waller Funeral Home Chapel, Oxford. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Kimbrell died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
She was born in River Falls, Ala., the daughter of Ozie Barney Childs and Lillian Baker Childs.
Mrs. Kimbrell was a retired optician and owner of Kara Optical.
She attended Peace Lutheran Church where she was active for many years. While living in Lawrence, Kan., she attended Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Chester Kimbrell, Oxford; a daughter, Karen Kathlea Smith, Oxford; a son, W. David Kimbrell, Santa Fe, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
