DYER - Joseph M. Schaller, 73, oneof the organizers of the Dyer Volunteer Fire Dept. and in the tavern and hotel business in Dyer for 50 years, died Monday in St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights.
Srvices will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Dyer, with the rev. Ambrose Switzer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Dyer.
Surviving are the widow, Catherine; a son, Norbert of Park Forest, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Murray of Dyer; four sisters, Mrs. Nicholas Austgen of Dyer, Mrs. Edward Klien of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. John Spiess, Mrs. Joseph Miller both of Hollywood, Calif., and a brother, Alex of Hammond,
