John Scheidt, 75, Succumbs In Hospital

John George Scheidt, 75, of 513 F Street died yesterday in a local hospital. He was born in Russia and had lived in Fresno for thirty years.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Scheidt; eight children. Adam, George Jr., Henry, Gottfried, Conrad and August Scheidt, Mrs. Anna Horg and Mrs. Molly LaMarr; five stepchildren, Henry, August and Alex Nilmeier, Mrs. Anna Dunn and Mrs. Katherine Metzler; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Schmall and Mrs. Katie Miller, and one brother, Conrad Metzler [should be Scheidt]. All reside in Fresno. Fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

A prayer service will be conducted at 7 o'clock tomorrow night in the Rest Haven Mortuary. The funeral cortege will leave the mortuary at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and proceed to the Third Congregational Church, where Rev. J. J. Raugust will officiate at last rites. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
