He was born January 15, 1920 at Elmore, the son of Ernest and Clara (Peter) Ristau. He was raised and educated in Elmore where he attended the St. John's Parochial School in the country near Elmore. He was married to Maxine T. Frankum on June 27 in Winnebago. Kenneth lived and farmed at rural Elmore all his life.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Maxine Ristau of Elmore; sons: Shurrdean and wife Judy Ristau of Sleepy Eye, Arniss and wife Susan Ristau of Elmore, Richard and wife Barbara Ristau of Elmore; daughters: Sharon and husband Duane Wrightson of Craig, Colo., Marlys Dotseth of Buffalo Center, Iowa; brother, Duane and Marie Ristau of New Ulm; sisters: Evelyn and husband Ivan Sansgard of Elmore, Dorothy and husband Donald Loge of Hector, Shirley and husband Archie Ihle of Elmore; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven and one son-in-law, Ervin Dotseth.
