From the Wabasha Standard December 26, 1912.
Mrs. H. Lynch was born in Jefferson City, Wisconsin, Sept. 9, 1844. She spent her early childhood days at Jefferson City. Then they moved to Madison, and from there to Durand, where she received a high school education, and then her parents moved on what is now known as the William Disney farm on account of her mother's failing health, doctors advising the quiet of farm life. Here mother engaged herself to teach the school in the same district that all of us children attended until we needed a higher education, and it was on this farm that father did his courting and they were married in 1867. Ten children were born to this union, three of whom have passed away, Helen, Carson and George, and seven still survive. They are Mrs. C. F. Andrews, Cloquet; Mrs. Edw. Hermann, Mazeppa; James Ed. Lynch, Zumbro Falls; Mrs. L. A. Fish, Balsam Lake, Wis; Miss Edith May at home; Mrs. Henry Dosdall, Hancock; Mrs. Herman Rabideau, Virginia. Zumbro Falls Enterprise.
