Augusta moved to America when she was about 14 years old along with her parents. The trip took 7 weeks in a sail boat. Many people got very sick. They landed in New York and went directly to Wabasha County, MN. (per Ruby Kurth's book)

Mrs. Augusta Dosdall died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Kurth in St. Paul last Saturday morning, Dec. 10th, at the age of 79 years. Her body was brought here Tuesday, and on Wednesday funeral services were held at the Congregational church by Pastor Sauer of Bear Valley. She was buried at Pleasant Prairie cemetery.

Note - middle name changed to Ernestine from suggestion received from Rob. Name before from family was listed as Arvilla.
