Amelia Esther Spaeth was born July 24, 1912 near Okeene, OK to Helena (Felder) & Alfred Nault and died Friday March 28, 1997 at age 84. She was a resident of the Hitchcock community for 58 years. She attended St. Mary's High School in Okeene and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Hitchcock until 1991, she became a resident of Okeene and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She was a member of both church choirs and altar societies. She married Anton Thomas Spaeth at St. Anthony's Church on June 6, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and five brothers. She is survived by four sons, Anton Jr. of Midwest City, OK, John Alfred Spaeth and Donald Spaeth both of Hitchcock and Kenneth Spaeth of Okeene; two daughters Helen Delores Unruh, Hitchcock and Mary Ann Spragins, Weathford, OK; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Rosary services were held at Wilkinson Mortuary in Okeene on Monday, March 31. Funeral services were Tuesday, April 1 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Okeene. Father Bruce Natsuhara officiated. Burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery, Hitchcock with Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene in charge of arrangements.
