Francis "Frank" Michael Trompeter, was the second of the three children born to Czechoslovakian immigrant parents; Katherine née Kozanek and Frank Trompeter. He enlisted in the US Army in 1945, and served at the end of World War II. He was later reactivated by the Army from April 29, 1948 to October 3, 1953, and served in the Korean War at the rank of Corporal.
