Michael Braun, 77, retired Town Marshfield farmer, died early Wednesday evening at his farm home near Mt. Calvary after a short illness. A life-long reisent of the town of Marshfield, he was born November 8, 1876, a son of Arnold and Marie Becker Braun. He was married to Bertha Burger of Penaposky, Wis. on November 25, 1902.
Mr. Braun was engaged in farming on the homestead farm his entire life. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Cross Church at Mt. Calvary.
Survivors are nine sons, Arnold and Oscar of St. Joe, Clarence of Petaloma, Calif., Leo of Dotyville, Raymond of Fond du Lac, Alois of Calvary, Alfred of Ripon, Ambrose of Waupun and Victor of st. Peter. Thirty eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Braun died January 19, 1931. One son August, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m Saturday at the Lisowe Funeral home, St. Cloud, and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church at Mt. Calvary. The Rev. Ephrem Hertel, OFM Cap. pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
